Privacy Policy

Jul 24, 2026 | 3 min read

This is a personal blog. I don’t sell anything, I don’t run ads, and I collect as little as possible. Here’s the full picture.

Who’s responsible

Jeppe Spanggaard Herning, Denmark jeppespanggaard11@gmail.com

I’m the data controller for any personal data processed through this site.

What gets collected

Nothing without your consent, except the basics. The site has no accounts, no comments, and no newsletter. If you email me, I see your email address - that’s it, and I only use it to reply.

Server logs (always on)

The site is hosted by Simply.com in Denmark. Like any web host, their servers log requests (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a functioning, secure website. See Simply.com’s privacy policy for their handling.

Fonts

The site loads one font from Google Fonts. Your browser sends a request to Google’s servers to fetch it, which necessarily includes your IP address. No cookies are set by this request.

If - and only if - you click Allow in the cookie banner, two tools load:

  • Google Analytics 4: tells me how many people visit, roughly where from, and what they read. Data is sent to Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity: records anonymized session replays and heatmaps so I can see how the site is used. Data is sent to Microsoft. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

If you click Deny, neither loads. No sneaky pixels, no fallback tracking.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).

Cookies

The site itself sets exactly one cookie:

CookiePurposeLifetime
consent-settingsRemembers your Allow/Deny choices31 days

If you consent to analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies - those are described in their privacy policies linked above.

Changing your mind

Click the 🍪 button in the bottom-left corner at any time to change your choices. If you withdraw consent for a tool that’s already running, the page reloads and it stops. Your choice cookie expires after 31 days, at which point you’ll be asked again.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me to access, correct, delete, or export any personal data I hold about you, and you can object to or restrict processing. In practice I hold almost nothing - but if you want to exercise any of these rights, email me at the address above.

You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you think I’m handling your data wrong.

Changes

If I change what this site collects, I’ll update this page and the date below.
