One Big PnP Template or Many Small Ones?

Nearly all the material out there is Microsoft’s own documentation, which tells you what the tool does. What I wanted was recipes. Simulate a 429 with a Retry-After header and check that your backoff is real. Fail one request inside a batch and see whether your mapping code copes. Make a provisioning step return 404 for ten seconds and find out whether your orchestration survives it.
That is what these posts are. Testing failure paths is the least fun part of this stack, and the part that has saved me the most time.
